Looks like a hypospadias correction to me. Great tool though.

I was born with a mild, sub-coronal hypospadus which the GP who circumcised me either did not notice or chose to ignore. I was ignorant of this until my 30's when some urinary troubles took me to a urolgist. The junior doc who initially examine me asked "what happened here" & then referred me on to the consultant who explained. I was amazed but many questions about the appearance of my cock where answered. The consultant said he would not have circumcised me but explained what my original foreskin would have looked like. Quite a revelation. So I was always interested as to how a repair might have looked.. "... rough hewn our ends may be..." Ill never know

What makes you say that?

Thanks for the question. Always good to reflect of what I have said. I guess I am saying that decision made in a moment by a circumciser shapes our lives in a profound way. The local GP who circumcised me at home as was the way back then probably saw it as a routine event of little significance. He was either careless, ignorant or not really bothered about aesthetics or function. Because of my mild hypospadus it was obviously not straightforward. I am left with vivid & irregular scarring from a very uneven, radical freehand cut. Much scar tissue where I probably had a frenulem & what looks like sets of stitch tunnels thou' we are told infant circs do not usually involve stitching. A small skin bridge & in my opinion an overly low & tight cut completes what is a bit of a mess. When I compare my result with the very neat USA style cuts it does make me think how things could have been different but I live with what I've got. I hope that perhaps modern DRs are better informed & keener to do a better & more careful job. Sorry that you’re not pleased with the results of your cut. I knew very little about style of cut when I elected for cosmetic circumcision 18 years ago. The doctor asked what type of cut I wanted? I just left it up to him. My scar is uneven, but overall pleased with the results.

Thanks. I think this just reinforces my view that such a significant intervention should be made with care & sensitivity. It has lifelong consequences.

That's unfortunate and I see why you are disappointed. My operation was performed decades ago and I could not have a more different opinion regarding outcomes. I have a frenulum (personally I prefer that look) and no scarring or difference in skin tone. It just looks like a retracted foreskin. My fear is that there is so much pressure now not to interfere that doctors will become less proficient at producing a neat result. When I was younger it was fairly routine with lots of my school cohort done. Now it seems frowned upon, even when the result of a tight foreskin looks so ridiculous (like a sausage struggling to burst forth from a tight, sore, stretched skin) and even ugly as it constricts the natural shape of the penis. I can't understand for the life of me why anyone would prefer that look, let alone the pain and discomfort of a tight foreskin. It angers me how it is referred to as mutilation. I've had both ways and I can say it looks better, is cleaner and sex is better. Yes, slightly less sensitive but that allows me to go for longer and the resulting orgasm is explosive and even to the point of being scarily intense. And those who ridiculously can't understand how you can masturbate without a foreskin, well it is just the same, just as easy (even without lube) and just as pleasurable, if not more so for the reasons I have said. All this said, I agree that anyone who undertakes this serious decision should be guaranteed a pleasing outcome in such a sensitive and personal area and therefore only competent and experienced practitioners should take it on.

What British men are packing downstairsMore than one in five British men are circumcised (helmets/roundheads), but a lot of our cut brothers have grown up feeling isolated. Categories
