He actually mentioned this on his podcast today. He said he was happy with the result. He also said that he thought after the operation he would still have some foreskin left to pull over the head but that there was no skin left now (probably thought the doc would just trim it, not take everything).

Any reason(s) given for his circumcision?

He’s mentioned it a few times over the last few weeks on his podcast. It was due to phimosis.

Seems he prefers it. 'Like when you don't think you need a haircut, you get one, and then think, why wasn't it always like this? This looks way better.' - and no longer expects to see a foreskin when he looks down.

Interesting how British comedians are so open about their circs. Shane's op was in May, and he retweeted a pic of him at the private hospital where it was done. He then did a regular Q&A on his podcast, responding to questions like 'how's the recovery?'. One of his guests said that he was not against getting circed himself, because of the streamlined look. Odd how so few people know that the foreskin has two layers, and that during the op the inner layer is stitched to the outer layer, as Shane said he thought he would still have a retractable foreskin, and then awkwardly explained the location of the stitches.

I think we can all relate to that... well, at least those of us that were cut later on in life!

What British men are packing downstairsMore than one in five British men are circumcised (helmets/roundheads), but a lot of our cut brothers have grown up feeling isolated. Categories
